With more than three decades of experience in the Indian judiciary, Ms Barkha Gupta brings a rare blend of legal acumen, humane understanding and unwavering integrity to ‘Just People’. 

As District Judge, she has presided over various sensitive and complex courts inter alia dealing with family and matrimonial disputes, to issues involving interpersonal rights and conflicts. Her judicial journey has shaped a philosophy rooted in fairness, clarity, and profound respect for human dignity.

Beyond the courtroom, Ms. Gupta is a trained mediator, accredited by Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre, dedicated to resolving conflicts also through communication, balance, and perspective. She believes in solutions that heal, not harm and in guiding individuals towards clarity during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.

Her contributions extend to academia and literature as well. She is the author of two books: ‘Dying Declaration: Anatomy of Last Deemed Truth’, showcasing her legal scholarship, and a collection of her poems, illuminating her deep sensitivity to human emotions, relationships and personal journeys. These works reflect both the analytical precision of a jurist and the reflective soul of a storyteller.
